Upon unboxing the product, I was initially pleased with its durable plastic construction and compact size. Attaching it to my drill was easy but once I started working with it things quickly became complicated. The problem is that the siding tool doesn’t quite fit tight enough in the mounting bracket for a good clean cut. That means each time I had to cut through the cement boards, I’d have to fiddle with the tool and adjust it again before cutting each time. It was tedious, time consuming and not very efficient.
Additionally, the 5” - 8” widths are way too small for most jobs and make it difficult to get an even cut across larger lengths of board. To top if off, there’s no instruction manual included which made setting up the tool at first a real pain.
