I’ve been a Pokemon fan ever since the first Red and Blue game came out, so I was really excited to try this game. So far, I’m incredibly impressed with how much new content is included in this edition.
The graphics are some of the best I’ve seen on a Nintendo Switch game so far. There’s also lots of new features and mechanics that make it feel like a whole new experience for long time fans of the series. From creating your own story arcs to battling against other trainers, there is plenty of content to keep you busy for hours.
The controls are tight and precise, making traversing the expansive world feel totally immersive. Plus, the game has lots of exciting side quests to complete along your journey that help break up any monotony. And speaking of journeys, Pokemon Legends: Arceus offers an amazing online co-op mode that allows you to team up with friends and take on tougher bosses together.

I chose this product because I’ve been a fan of Pokemon for years and wanted to enjoy the experience on the Nintendo Switch. When I opened the package, I was excited to see all the colorful characters but quickly realized they were all just cartoon images. The gameplay felt stiff and skipped around every few seconds, making it difficult to get into any of the battles. Unfortunately, there weren’t many strategies offered in the game - my character was just stuck fighting in circles with no way out. Despite having more levels than other games, I found that there wasn’t much to do as each level felt about the same as the next. Even worse, it seemed like some of the items you could use in battles disappeared or crashed completely after one turn!
Overall, Pokemon Violet for Nintendo Switch is not worth its $61 price tag. The lack of challenge, choppy graphics and weak content make this game a dud. If you’re looking for an exciting Pokemon game for your Switch, this isn’t it!
